The Frame Configurator: Design Your Own Trading Card Frame

You have three PSA slabs, two cards in a magnetic holder, and a booster pack that absolutely has to go on the wall. And now you're looking for a frame that fits exactly that. The honest answer: there isn't one off the shelf. That's why we built the Frame Configurator – the world's first for trading card frames.

Instead of choosing between ready-made sizes, you put your frame together yourself: choose a format, place your cards, see the arrangement, order. We then laser-cut the inlay for exactly your setup. How it works in detail and what's possible is explained here.

How the configurator works – in three steps

1. Choose a format and color

You start with the frame itself. Seven formats are available, each in black or white, and you decide whether the frame should hang in portrait or landscape orientation:

Format Good for Price
13 × 18 cm A single favorite card €22.90
21 × 30 cm 2 to 3 cards or slabs €32.90
30 × 40 cm 4 to 6 cards, the all-rounder €38.90
28 × 55 cm Narrow rows, e.g. an evolution set €59.90
40 × 50 cm Larger sets and mixed layouts €59.90
46 × 61 cm Entire team or player collections €67.90
50 × 70 cm The statement piece above the desk €79.90

2. Arrange your cards

Now comes the part you won't find anywhere else: you place your cards directly in the frame and immediately see how it looks. Move them, swap them, rearrange them – for as long as it takes until it's right. No measuring, no guesswork, no sketch on paper.

3. Order – we laser-cut your inlay

As soon as you're happy with it, your composition goes straight into production. We cut the inlay from 10 mm EVA foam precisely with a laser – exactly for the holders you selected. Handcrafted in Germany, like all our frames.

What you can combine

The real advantage isn't in the formats, but in what you're allowed to put inside. The configurator knows the dimensions of all common holders and mixes them without any problem in a single frame:

  • Graded cards from PSA, BGS (Beckett), CGC, SGC, GSG, and AOG
  • Ungraded cards in a 35pt magnetic holder
  • Both mixed together – two PSA slabs next to four magnetic holders in one frame is absolutely no problem

That's exactly the difference to a standard frame: you don't have to sort your collection just to fit it into a grid. The frame adapts to your collection, not the other way around.

If one of our ready-made sizes is enough for you, you'll often get there faster with our magnetic frames or graded card frames. The configurator is worth it whenever your layout falls outside the standard grid.

Your slab isn't on the list? No problem

There are more grading companies than the six major ones, and new ones keep appearing. If your slab doesn't show up in the configurator yet, that doesn't mean we can't build a frame for it – we just haven't recorded the dimensions yet.

Just write to us. Tell us the grading company and, if possible, the outer dimensions of the slab (height × width × thickness). We'll measure it, add the holder to our system, and bring it into the configurator. After that, you can select it there just like any other – and so can every other collector with the same slab.

The same applies to special requests that go beyond cards: booster packs, coins, tokens, a ticket, a photo next to the card. Up to a frame size of 700 × 500 mm, almost anything is possible. Tell us what you have in mind.

Frequently asked questions about the Frame Configurator

Do I need to measure my cards?

No. You simply select the holder type in the configurator – PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, GSG, AOG, or magnetic holder. The dimensions are already stored, and the inlay is automatically calculated to fit exactly.

Can I mix slabs and magnetic holders in one frame?

Yes, that's explicitly supported. You can combine graded and ungraded cards in a single frame – the inlay gets the matching cutout for each card.

Does the card come into contact with the frame?

No. Your card stays in its slab or magnetic holder. The frame only holds the holder – the card itself is never clamped or glued directly.

Can I swap the cards later?

Yes. The holders are fixed in place but can be removed. So you can put a different card in the magnetic holder or swap out a slab at any time – as long as the new card uses the same holder.

How long does production take?

Every configured frame is individually made for you, so it takes a bit longer than a stock item. You'll find the current processing time at checkout and on the respective product page.

How much does a custom frame cost compared to a ready-made one?

The price depends on the format, not on the number of cutouts. A custom-configured frame therefore costs exactly the same as a standard frame of the same size – between €22.90 and €79.90.

Are the frames UV-protected?

Our frames protect your cards from dust and impacts and reduce light exposure. If the frame will hang in a very bright spot, we additionally recommend a magnetic holder with UV protection. You should generally avoid direct sunlight.

Can I get a frame for a jersey plus cards?

We make such combinations by arrangement. First take a look at our jersey frames and then write to us about how you envision the layout.

Is the frame for hanging or for standing?

Both are possible. Wall-mounting hardware is included.

Who benefits most from the configurator

  • Collectors with mixed holdings – when graded and ungraded cards need to go on the wall together
  • Set collectors – evolution lines, team collections, complete insert sets in a specific arrangement
  • Anyone with unusual slabs – smaller grading companies that no standard frame covers
  • Gifts – a frame tailored exactly to the recipient's collection is hard to beat
